Drumplay's sound is best described as "rhythmprovisation";
a world/jazz percussion inspired by Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and West African
rhythms as well as Middle Eastern
motifs. Whether in performance, workshop or educational
presentation, no two Drumplay concerts are alike. Traditional
rhythms, combined with an improvisational bent, bring forth
the spirit of something new, and in a jazz way, gives
the music more space in which to resound.
